Dean resigns JISD position

District begins search process

Retiring Superintendent Bill “Butch” Dean will play a part in the selection of the interim superintendent for the school district.

Dean has requested a list of retired superintendents living in Region V and will begin the process of contacting these superintendents to see if they have an interest in serving in the position while the search process begins.

“A lot of people that have retired from this position have agreed to serve as interims for other districts,” Dean said. “When one superintendent leaves, another interim will come in. I’ve been asked to check out the names of the possible interims.”
