Parks trade campsites for work

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is searching for volunteers to help keep up the Martin Dies Jr. State Park in exchange for a free campsite with water, electricity and sewer.

Volunteers must work for 30 hours per week and commit to at least one month. Some duties for volunteers are monitoring visitors in camping sites, mowing, removing leaves from roads and helping the Nature Center. Having a travel trailer is required; for more information call Martin Dies Jr. State Park headquarters at 384-5231.
