JHS Scholarship Program

Angelina registration

Angelina College Holding Jasper Center registration for summer classes will be May 27 - 28 from 8 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Jasper Higher Education and Technology Center. Available classes will be in the May 21st edition of The Jasper Newsboy. For more information call 936-489- 9000.

Diabetes help

AgriLife extension agent Cindy VanDevender and ETHAN will team up to teach type 2 diabetes management classes, a five week series on Wednesdays beginning May 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; call 384-3721.

Benefit team roping

Jasper High School and Junior High will hold a benefit team roping event to help qualifying members go to state competition. Books open for the event May 31 at 1 p.m.; roping starts at 2 p.m. at the Jasper County Junior Livestock arena; call Linda Powell, 489-2556.

GED testing

The GED test will be given in June at the Jasper Teaching Center. Free classes to prepare for the test are offered at the Region 5 Adult Education Center, 302 S. Wheeler in Jasper. Call 384-2004.

JAM sessions
